Space Shuttle: Charles Brady (STS-78) Owned Sage Green U.S. Air Force MIL-C-83141A Summer Weight Flight Coveralls and LPU-23 Life Preserver-Survival Vest. Flight suit issued to and worn by eventual NASA astronaut Charles Brady during his Navy career during which he was trained as a flight surgeon. Lot includes coveralls manufactured by Greenbrier Industries, Inc. of fire-resistant Aramid with zipper front, zipper chest, sleeve and leg pockets, and various Velcro adjustment straps. Also includes his LPU-23 Life Preserver/Survival Vest with automatic inflation device. It appears complete and includes PRC 90 hand held radio, survival knife, flashlight, and other equipment. A fabric kneelboard with handwritten notes by Brady is also included. Brady was selected by NASA in March of 1992 and logged over sixteen days in space aboard Columbia
