Jim Davis,” and a TLS, 5.5 x 8.5 on Garfield letterhead date July, 1989, signed in red felt tip, “Jim Davis”. Letter of thanks to a fan. In full: “Thank you for your wonderful letter. I’m delighted you enjoy Garfield and continue to follow the strip. Your support of my fat friend has kept him well-supplied with lasagna and has allowed him to remain one of the most popular comic strip characters in print and on television. Thank you. I have enclosed an autographed print. Enjoy ! Thank you for your interest.
